I was playing around and came up with this build.

The increased attack speed is insane. I estimated about .5 attack speed. I killed the Master of Healing less than 10 seconds. Sure I'm not the first person who thought of this.

There is the all famous MS+DB=AoE damage. However it took me 20 seconds to kill Master of Healing. The best damage I did 205 damage at 13 seconds.

I was wondering, why is this so underused? Sure it uses a lot of enchantments, but it is strong. Why is MS+DB so popular in PvE? Is it the best PvE assassin skill?

MS+DB= lots of AoE damage.

Anyways, try running your Locus Fury in HM and see if you still think it's great.

Because +X dmg from combos >>>>>>>>>>> Double Strikes while auto-attacking.

And, if you want Double Strikes, DB says hi.

Because Target Spike + AoE Armor-ignoring dmg is good... really good...

Locust's Fury is terrible. An attack chain out damages it because attack chains are armor ignoring and autoattacks are not.

Double strikes aren't worth it.

Moebius Sin does way more damage than this, plus all the AoE-ness you get out of it. I find that when I play my sin, Crit. Agility is more than enough attack speed, so I find Locust's useless.

20 seconds to kill the master of dmg

anything more then 9 seconds is pretty bad

but the bottom line is your going for double strikes,which you get anyways with db.ms spam(since duel attacks always double hit anyways)

and the fact that db is the highest dmg dual attack....its just a win/win

It's the most spammable. Twisting Fangs does more (includes deep wound), and Blades of Steel can do more.

Locust's Fury can be used to build adren very quickly for SY. To that end, you can have a hero buff you with Strength of Honor to replace the conjure.

Make something stick Barbs and Mark of Pain on your targets and maybe pack some orders. Bring EBSoH, then watch the lol insanity. But of course MS/DB + those above = better lol insanity.

If you're going to rely on Hero support, better to stick to MS-DB with SY! and tag along an Orders guy.

Where did 20 seconds come from? It took me 6 seconds with the build. The best damage I got was at 13 seconds, not Death at 13 second. Geez, read much?

Speaking of which for the people that read. The build was an example. I was just wondering why people favor MS+DB so much. Why is locust so avoided, I know now. You could keep the thread up for discussion or close it.
